Woman, 19, killed in dog attack at house

A 19-year-old woman has been fatally injured in a dog attack at a property in Essex. Emergency responders were dispatched to Long Hide, a village close to Dunmow, at 22:45 BST on Friday. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim with severe wounds. Despite immediate medical intervention, she was later confirmed dead at the scene, as reported by Essex Police.

The incident has led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man from Dunmow. He is suspected of allowing his dog to act dangerously out of control, resulting in the woman’s death. The canine was confiscated by authorities, and specialist teams secured the area to ensure safety.

“This event will deeply affect the local community,” stated Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Hooper. “Our thoughts and condolences are with the woman’s family and friends.
