Lebanon’s health ministry reports significant casualties
Wednesday marked the most intense Israeli aerial assault since the war began. The attack lasted for a brief 10-minute window, during which Israeli forces claimed to have targeted Lebanon with approximately 100 missiles. According to the Lebanese health ministry, the toll of this barrage included at least 182 fatalities and over 800 injured individuals.
Amid the chaos, BBC’s Middle East Correspondent Hugo Bachega was stationed at the epicenter of a devastating strike in Beirut. His on-the-ground coverage provided real-time insight into the aftermath of the assault, capturing the immediate impact on the city’s infrastructure and civilian population.
“The destruction was rapid and severe, leaving the area in disarray,” Bachega noted during his report.
